When & Where is UFC Fight Night: Imavov vs Borralho?
This UFC Fight Night event is scheduled for 6 September and will be held at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Imavov is currently on a 4-fight win streak, which includes a stoppage victory over the former champ, Israel Adesanya. His excellent striking ability has seen him climb the rankings since his loss to Sean Strickland, and he’s looked like a complete fighter. He also has wins over Brendan Allen and Jared Cannonier, and has a good finish rate, with 44% of his wins by KO/TKO and 25% by submission. Despite this, he’s a slight underdog going into the fight, although the odds are very close.
Borralho has looked like future champ material since he signed to the UFC, showing off high-level skills and excellent fight IQ. He’s undefeated in the promotion so far, but the best opponent he’s faced has been an over-the-hill Cannonier. His other wins include Paul Craig and Abus Magomedov. As one of the Fighting Nerds, he has an excellent team behind him, and he’s also a Stake-sponsored fighter. Checking their stats, Borralho has better grappling, which could come into play. Be sure to check out our Stake exclusive interview with Borralho and read what he has to say about him headlining this fight.
Benoît Saint Denis vs Maurício Ruffy
This is an intriguing matchup between 2 fighters who rarely ever see the judges’ scorecards. Saint Denis has had 6 wins in the UFC, with each of them coming by way of stoppage. Meanwhile, his only decision was his UFC debut, which he lost before going on a 5-fight win streak. He’s 1-2 in his last 3 fights, though, and will need a win to climb back up the rankings.
Meanwhile, Ruffy has made a serious impact on the fans since he arrived in the UFC in 2024. He has just 3 fights in the promotion, but he’s won 2 with impressive KO finishes. Over the course of his career, he has 11 wins by KO/TKO and just 1 by decision. When these 2 fighters meet in the cage, the fans are the real winners, as it’s sure to be an exciting clash. Ruffy is the betting odds favourite, although he has significantly less experience and will have to deal with the grappling of Saint Denis.
Bolaji Oki vs Mason Jones
Oki joined the UFC in 2024 after getting a stoppage win on the Contender Series. He’s since won 2 but lost 1, beating Timmy Cuamba and Michael Aswell but losing by submission to Chris Duncan. He has an overall professional MMA record of 10-2, with 5 wins by KO/TKO and 1 win by submission. Meanwhile, he’s never been KO’d in his career. Oki is currently the underdog according to the latest odds, likely due to having less experience.
Jones is a former Cage Warriors champion whose previous run in the UFC ended in 2022 after 1 win, 1 NC and 2 losses. He returned to the UFC in May, beating Jeremy Stephens in an exciting lightweight fight. He’s now 2-2 in the UFC, but also has 12 wins in Cage Warriors and an overall record of 16-2. His experience and recent win over Stephens mean he’s the favourite to win, but Oki could still give him problems.
